Job summary

Sam's East, Inc. is seeking an Independent Optometrist leasing space inside our stores to lead patient care in eye and vision health. You will establish your days, hours, and patient scheduling, with the autonomy to set fees and retain 100% of exam fees.

In addition to optometry, the role may involve optional equipment enhancements and support services if state law allows, while maintaining professional licensure and liability coverage.

Qualifications

• OD from an accredited optometry program is required.
• Valid state optometry license must be current.
• Ophthalmologist (MD/DO) with valid state license is required.
• General Liability and/or Professional Liability Insurance certificates.
• ME/VA license agreements are managed with Gumberg Asset Management.

Responsibilities

• Establish your days of practice within the lease.
• Set your own hours of operation and control patient scheduling.
• Set your fee schedule for services.
• Keep 100% of exam and professional fees as a leashed independent provider.
