Job summary

MMRO is seeking Independent Medical Evaluators to provide impartial medical assessments for disability and workers’ compensation across the country. You will review records, interpret evidence, and perform in-person exams when required to support defensible benefit decisions.

This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling and nationwide opportunities, with support from MMRO’s Panel Health Program and quality teams to ensure objective, regulatory-compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license.
• Board certification in your specialty.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of post-training clinical experience.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Commitment to objective, evidence-based medical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent medical evaluations and chart reviews per state regulations and MMRO standards.
• Review records, data, and histories to render objective conclusions.
• Produce clear, well-reasoned medical reports with timely submission.
