Job summary
The City of New York seeks an ADM ENGINEER (NON MGRL) with a NYS Professional Engineer license to perform independent audits of complex mechanical construction projects. You will review payment vouchers, verify change orders, and prepare cost estimates while ensuring conformance with NYC Construction Codes and state/federal regulations.
Responsibilities include desk and field audits, interpreting contract documents, and providing technical support to resolve discrepancies in payments and change
Qualifications
- A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.
- Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in engineering, with at least two years in an executive/administrative capacity.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent review and audit of payment vouchers for large construction projects.
- Review and verify the cost reasonableness of change orders.
- Review Engineers' Estimates and prepare independent cost estimates for change orders.
- Conduct desk and field audits to ensure conformance with contracts, NYC Construction Codes, and regulations.
- Audit payment vouchers related to maintenance, materials, and equipment purchases.
- Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs for mechanical projects.
- Prepare audit reports, analyses, and recommendations.
- Provide technical support and resolve discrepancies in mechanical payments and change orders.
