Job summary
Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) seeks an Independent Living Specialist to work with clients in their homes or the field, helping build independent living skills and supports for recovery. Position involves extensive field work and after-hours availability.

Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or higher preferred.
- 1 year experience working with the SMI population, plus additional settings/levels of care.
- 1 year experience in behavioral health outreach/engagement.
- Minimum 6 months recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
- Current AZ Driver’s License in good standing.
- Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
- Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) within 12 months of employment.
- Peer Certification where applicable.
Responsibilities

CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.
Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.
The F/ACT Independent Living Specialists work with SMI clients in their homes or in the field to develop independent living skills. Independent living skills include, but are not limited to, food shopping, learning bus routes, cleaning home, proper hygiene, maintaining relationships with supportive family and developing community-based supports. This position is expected to be in the field at least 80% of the time working with clients assisting them develop skills that will assist in sustaining ongoing recovery. This position will also provide after hour, and on-call supports.
- Highschool diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
- 1-year experience working with the SMI population with additional experience in multiple settings and levels of care, including both mental health and substance abuse preferred.
- 1-year experience in a behavioral health position providing outreach and engagement activities preferred.
- Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
- Current AZ Driver’s License in good standing.
- Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
- Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures
- Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) within 12-months of employment
- Peer Certification (if applicable)
