Job summary

Argus Home Health Care in Denver seeks an Independent Living Skills Trainer (ILST) for a part-time role. You will guide participants to independently manage daily living tasks and self-care in the home setting.

The position requires a driver’s license and a reliable automobile, with pay at $24.00 per hour. Training is provided and confidentiality is essential in all client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 1 year experience with individuals with disabilities OR
• Associate degree in social services/human relations + 2 years experience OR
• Enrollment in a related degree program + 3 years similar experience OR
• 4 years direct care experience with brain injury or cognitive disability in home, hospital, or rehab settings

Responsibilities

• Perform other related duties as needed.
• Assist clients with independent living tasks such as self-care, medication supervision, task completion, sensory motor skill building, mobility, socialization, benefits/resource coordination and household management.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards.

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 1 year experience with individuals with disabilities

Position Summary
Independent Living SkillsTrainers develop services designed and directed at the development and maintenance of the programparticipant's ability to independently sustain themself physically, emotionally, and economically in the community.This position helps people who need help to learn physical, mental,socialor financial skills due to a brain injury.

Responsibilities:

• Perform other related duties as needed.
