Journey to Thrive ILS in Woodland, CA is seeking a passionate ILS Instructor to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to build life skills and independence in their communities.

You will provide independent living skill instruction in home and community settings, create individualized service plans, document progress, and collaborate with families and regional center coordinators to support each client's goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CA driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of insurance preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide Independent Living Skills (ILS) instruction to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to each client's goals.
• Teach daily living skills such as budgeting, meal planning, personal hygiene, and community navigation.
• Document client progress, session notes, and goal updates accurately.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and regional center coordinators to support goals.
• Transport and accompany clients to community activities, appointments, and skill-building outings.
• Advocate for client rights, dignity, and self-determination in all interactions.
