Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a full-time Independent Living Skills Counselor (IHSC) for our In-Home Adult program in Virginia, MN. You will help adults with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most independent lives.

You will assess needs, develop supports plans with the person and their team, and provide skill training in daily living, communication, household management, mobility, and wellness, to enable independence in a variety of settings.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field, or
• Four years of experience with individuals with disabilities
• Associate’s degree in behavioral science or related field and two years of experience with individuals with disabilities
• Pass post-offer background check and Motor Vehicle Report check

Aufgaben

• Provide skill training and supports to help adults live as independently as possible
• Assess needs and develop supports plans with the person and their support team
• Cover daily living skills, communication, household management, mobility, and wellness
• Assist with vocational and educational goals
• Work in private home settings to promote independence
