Job summary

Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a full-time Independent Living Skills Counselor (IHSC) for our In-Home Adult program in Virginia, MN. You will help adults with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most independent lives.

As an IHS Counselor, you will serve adults living in private home settings, assess needs, and collaborate with the person and their support team to develop and implement supports plans that promote independence across a range of skills.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a working vehicle.
• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field, or four years experience, or associate’s degree with two years experience.
• Ability to pass post-offer background check and Motor Vehicle Report check.

Responsibilities

• Serve adults living in private home settings and help individuals achieve maximum independence.
• Assess the person’s needs and develop supports plans with the person and their support team.
• Provide skill training across multiple areas including physical/personal needs, communication, household management, community living, and health.
