Job summary

JEVS Human Services in New Jersey seeks a Community Support Counselor to empower adults with disabilities within the Independence Network. This community-based role partners with individuals to set goals, develop plans, and pursue interests through tailored supports.

You will work in Camden, Burlington, or Gloucester counties, building safe relationships, teaching independent living skills, and guiding participants toward volunteer or paid opportunities.

Qualifications

• Develop a rapport with assigned individuals to build a safe, supportive relationship.
• Contribute to plans that support individuals to pursue goals and dreams.
• Teach independent living skills and strategies for independence growth.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to support social skills.
• Coach individuals to establish volunteer opportunities or paid employment.
• Assist individuals to engage in community activities aligned with interests.

Responsibilities
