Qualifications

• The candidate must not have been convicted of a felony under Illinois or federal law.
• A bachelor’s degree from an institution of higher education is required.
• At least 5 years of cumulative service in law enforcement, prosecution, senior management, judiciary, or related roles with progressive responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Appointing and overseeing investigations under the Illinois State Officials and Employees Ethics Act.
• Investigate allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, misconduct, nonfeasance, misfeasance, malfeasance, or violations of related laws.
