Job summary

Geeks On Site provides nationwide computer repair and technology support services, both remotely and on-site. We are hiring experienced Field IT Technicians to support residential and small business customers with computer troubleshooting, networking, printer configuration, and on-site IT services.

Technicians may also take on POS or outdoor TV mounting jobs based on experience. This is an on-call, 1099 independent contractor role with full flexibility and no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Own required tools as listed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
