Job summary

Catholic Charities Maine is hiring Independent Support Services Workers to help seniors and adults with disabilities stay safe and independent in their own homes across Kennebec County.

Starting pay is $17.69 per hour with a flexible, self-directed schedule, mileage reimbursement, earned paid leave, and a supportive team environment. You will provide in-home assistance, transport clients, run errands, and complete simple online documentation following care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; basic computer skills required.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform household tasks.
• Daily travel between client homes required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients remain independent in their homes.
• Provide housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Run errands (groceries, pharmacy, appointments).
• Transport clients using your personal vehicle.
• Offer companionship and support with daily tasks.
• Follow care plans and complete simple online documentation.
