Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking self-motivated High Value Residential Insurance Inspectors to conduct on-site surveys in the Oakland area. You will visit properties, take photos and measurements, and note issues for the underwriter.

As a 1099 field consultant, you work on your own schedule, coordinate with homeowners and agents, and generate loss-control reports online. Prior underwriting or inspection experience is desirable, and you should have reliable vehicle and tech setup.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-starting and self-directed approach to work.
• BA or BS degree desired, but not required.
• Must have smartphone, tablet and personal computer.
• A late model reliable vehicle and Auto and General Liability Insurance.
• Experience in Insurance Adjusting, Home Appraisals, Real Estate or Construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site high value property surveys.
• Visit properties, take photos and measurements.
• Identify major hazards, document construction materials and features.
• Obtain measurements and generate an estimated replacement value.
• Communicate findings to underwriter via loss-control reports.
