Job summary

End Of Day Logistics is seeking an experienced independent contractor to provide commercial floor-care and cleaning services at grocery store locations in New Jersey. This role covers routine floor maintenance and occasional specialty projects.

You will operate floor scrubbers, perform burnishing, restrooms cleaning, and manage duties with minimal supervision while complying with safety standards. The work requires reliability, attention to detail, and strong time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in sales areas, vestibules, cart corrals, and other assigned areas.
• Clean around counters, checkout stands, shelves, displays, and obstructions.
• Remove gum, stickers, dirt, and foreign substances from floors.
• Operate an automatic floor scrubber on various surfaces.
• Hand-mop areas not reachable by scrubber and burnish floors as needed.
• Vacuum mats and carpets and perform spot cleaning.
• Lift and clean floor mats in produce and entrance areas.
• Apply deicing neutralizer during winter.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Empty trash and keep storage areas tidy.
• Perform specialty floor projects when assigned (deep scrubbing, recoating, stripping, refinishing).
• Follow all product instructions, floor-specific procedures, and OSHA safety requirements.
