Job summary

End Of Day Logistics is seeking an experienced independent contractor to provide commercial floor-care and related cleaning services at grocery store locations in Livingston, NJ. This role includes routine maintenance and occasional specialty projects, requiring dependable, punctual work and the ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in grocery store areas and other assigned spaces.
• Clean around counters, shelves, displays, and obstructions.
• Remove gum, stickers, dirt, and foreign substances from floors.
• Operate an automatic floor scrubber on various floor surfaces.
• Hand-mop areas not reachable by scrubber.
• Burnish floors with a propane burnisher where required.
• Vacuum entrance mats and carpet tiles and perform spot cleaning.
• Lift, shake, and clean floor mats in produce and entrance areas.
• Apply deicing neutralizer during winter weather when needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and associated fixtures.
• Empty trash and replenish restroom supplies.
• Sweep and mop break rooms and hallways.
• Maintain orderly porter/storage area.
• Empty and clean the automatic scrubber before leaving the location.
• Perform specialty floor projects including deep scrubbing, recoating, stripping, refinishing.
