Job summary

DRIG is seeking skilled technicians to join our network as independent contractors specializing in fleet automotive electronics installations. This 1099 role involves traveling to customer locations to install, troubleshoot, and repair GPS trackers, dash cameras, and other telematics devices in cars, trucks, and semis.

Compensation is competitive and paid per completed job. Contractors control their schedules and must pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Experience installing aftermarket automotive electronics in vehicles (GPS trackers, dash cameras, car audio, remote starts, alarms, lighting).
• Solid understanding of 12-volt vehicle wiring.
• Ability to supply your own tools and materials for professional installations.
• Reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• MECP certification is a plus but not required.
• Contractors must be able to pass a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure aftermarket automotive electronics (GPS trackers, dash cameras, remote start systems, fleet telematics).
• Deliver high-quality workmanship from start to finish to support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each completed job and ensure installations meet specs.
• Communicate professionally with customers at job sites.
• Access job details and manage accepted jobs using DRIG's systems.
• Follow safety and compliance standards to reduce rework and ensure quality.
• Coordinate with DRIG Quality Control at job start to review scope and quality expectations.
