Hyndman Area Health Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical care to our patient population. This role may require seeing patients at the Hyndman location as needed.

You will operate independently for perioperative patients, order and interpret tests, and prescribe treatments to maintain physiologic stability. We value collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to preventive medicine.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Minimum of 5 years perioperative clinical experience; 2 years NP role preferred.

Responsabilités

• Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex perioperative patients.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to the patient’s age-specific needs.
• Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including first assisting role.
• Assists with the provision of surgical care in accordance with regulations.
• Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
• Facilitates patient transitions between care settings and coordinates referrals.
• Educates patients, staff and families to support decision making.
