Island Doctors is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to manage health problems and coordinate care for patients in a primary care setting. The role involves independent assessment, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and collaborating with the health team to deliver comprehensive care.

You will maintain documentation, ensure patient confidentiality, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while upholding regulatory standards.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Mansioni

• Perform age-appropriate history and physicals for complex perioperative patients.
• Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens for identified conditions.
• Discuss potential side effects and ensure allergy information is current before prescribing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy laws.
• Record complete, timely and legible medical records.
• Assist with training and compliance actions.
• Work with the primary healthcare team to provide primary medical care services.
