Responsibilities include patient examinations, counseling, triage, lab result reviews, and medication administration under provider direction. The role emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork in a Federally Qualified Health Center environment.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania nursing license is required.
• CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of primary health care principles across life spans.
• Strong communication with patients and families; ability to interpret patient data for care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with comprehensive patient examinations, screenings, and treatment within the nurse's scope of practice.
• Provide counseling and health education to patients with necessary instructions for continuity of care.
• Triage seriously ill patients and notify provider staff.
• Review and prioritize lab results; notify provider of critical results.
• Call patients to communicate lab results under provider direction.
• Prepare, administer and record medications and procedures as directed by the provider.
