Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Construction Material Testing Project Representative to support our field teams in Beckley, West Virginia, and surrounding locations. This on-site role focuses on sampling and testing construction materials, with a strong emphasis on accuracy in reports and compliance with project specs.

The ideal candidate has material testing experience, OSHA 10 and first aid CPR certifications, and recognizes the value of continuous certification through ACI or WVDOH testing

Qualifications

• Experience in material testing on construction projects.
• Ability to interpret civil plans and specifications.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and stay out of town as needed.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Material Testing Project Representative to support our construction projects across multiple locations. This is a field-focused role that is central to the quality and success of our work, and a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil
• Interpret civil construction plans and specifications
• Adapt to varying project locations on a daily basis
• Communicate findings effectively through clear, accurate written reports
• Pursue certification courses to continuously build skills and technical knowledge
• Accommodate periodic out-of-town project stays as needed

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Experience: Material testing experience highly desirable

Safety certifications: OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications highly desirable
