Job summary

Signature Appraisals, Underwriting and Loss Control is seeking experienced High Value Residential Insurance Inspectors to join our team as independent contractors (1099) covering Western PA. You will independently manage on-site surveys of high-value properties, document construction features, and provide underwriter-ready reports.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of residential construction, experience estimating replacement costs for luxury homes, and proficiency with Rapid Sketch,

Qualifications

• Experience as a High Value Residential Insurance Inspector.
• Background in insurance inspections, loss control, underwriting support, or high-end home appraisals.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and custom features.
• Experience estimating replacement costs for high value residential properties.
• Proficiency with diagramming software such as Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD or similar tools.
• Excellent communication skills when working with high-net-worth homeowners and insurance agents.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Interact with homeowners and insurance agents by phone, email, and in person.
• Schedule and conduct on-site inspections of high value properties per guidelines.
• Document custom construction features and high-end finishes.
• Capture measurements, photos, and site observations.
• Identify underwriting concerns, hazards, and loss exposures.
• Develop accurate replacement cost estimates reflecting quality materials.
• Submit complete, timely web-based reports meeting carrier guidelines.
