About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical contractor to support a healthcare mapping project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Excel modeling, working with healthcare claims data, and familiarity with healthcare coding systems. You will play a critical role in analyzing data, identifying key accounts for specific drugs, and offering strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply healthcare code systems (e.g., CPT, ICD, DRG, HCPCS) in data analysis.
- Analyze large sets of healthcare claims data to identify patterns, trends, and relevant insights.
- Cross-check, clean, and validate data with a high level of attention to detail.
- Build and maintain Excel-based models to support account geo-mapping and volume segmentation by drug.
- Conduct literature reviews and other secondary research on treatment guidelines and real-world drug utilization trends.
- Support the team in synthesizing findings and preparing outputs for internal and client-facing use.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project milestones.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with advanced Excel modeling (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions, complex formulas).
- Strong analytical skills and prior experience working with healthcare claims or utilization data.
- Familiarity with healthcare code systems (CPT, ICD, DRG, etc.) is required.
- Experience working on healthcare consulting, analytics, or market research projects.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing timelines in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Data Science, Business, or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
