Job summary

Achieve Behavior Alliance Plus is seeking a Recreational Therapist to provide individualized therapy services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Indiana. Contractors will deliver services primarily in home and community settings, enabling clients to build skills through leisure and recreation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, be certified as a CTRS, and possess strong communication skills. Flexibility, autonomy, and a commitment to client-centered care are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation to and from client's location.
• Clean background check.

Responsibilities

• Providing one on one recreational therapy with individuals with disabilities.
• Assessing client needs and developing treatment plans.
• Documenting therapy notes in accordance with Medicaid requirements.

Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and with a team

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Experience as a Recreational Therapist

Familiarity with electronic health/medical record systems

Knowledge of HIPAA standards

Education

Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
