Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial coffee equipment at customer locations. You will diagnose and fix bean-to-cup systems, espresso machines, and grinders, using electrical and mechanical skills to ensure reliable operation.

This role emphasizes independent work, traveling to customer sites, and clear communication with customers and the service team.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing coffee equipment or comparable electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with practical electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with water lines, filtration systems, pumps and basic plumbing connections.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Excellent communication and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial coffee machines, including bean-to-cup systems, espresso machines, single-cup brewers, batch brewers, and grinders.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and water-system issues involving pumps, valves, heating elements, thermostats, sensors, motors, and tubing.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, descaling, filter replacements, and equipment adjustments.
• Install and set up equipment, verify proper operation, and explain basic use and care to customers.
• Respond to service calls, identify the cause of equipment failures, and complete repairs efficiently.
• Read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions; use multimeters and hand tools to diagnose problems.
