Aurora Community Services seeks dedicated Direct Care Staff to support individuals in residential settings. Wage is $18.50/hr with a $1.50/hr weekend shift differential and paid training.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Basic English communication and reading/writing skills.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist/teach skills to promote independence and involvement in daily life.
• Utilize consumer strengths to build new skills and goals.
• Support coping skills and advocate for consumer lifestyle improvements.
• Assist with in-home leisure activities and meal planning.
• Medication administration and transportation duties.
• Follow individual service plans and assist with daily activities.
