Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures and instructions.
• Identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
• Support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
• Follow plant safety guidelines and wear PPE as required.
• Follow the battery assembly diagram to layout batteries and place intercells correctly.
• Examine work orders for any special items.
• Measure cable layout and length; assemble cables with proper lead head and install onto the battery.
• Be familiar with Crown Quality System documentation and objectives.

Salary Range: $22.70 To $24.98 Hourly

JOB TITLE: IND Former DEPARTMENT:Manufacturing

JOB SUMMARY: The Industrial Forming position is responsible for performing equipment operations for formed industrial cells while ensuring all produced parts meet specification and quality characteristics.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Is responsible for:
  • Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions
  • Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
  • Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
• Proper housekeeping of the work area.
• Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required.
• Use the battery assembly diagram to figure out of layout of the battery.
• Place intercells on the cells in proper order. Use a hand torch to burn remaining intercells and cell button together.
• Examine work order for any special items.
• Responsible for measuring cable layout and length. Make the cables with proper lead head and install onto the battery.
• Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
