Shoals Technologies Group seeks an Incoming Quality Inspector to ensure incoming materials meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections, maintain inspection records, and identify non-conformances using standardized processes.

You will work with various materials including wires, connectors, enclosures, EV components, and hardware, contributing to reliability and downstream quality. Proactive documentation and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and sensitivity to minute differences among similar looking products.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand specifications and tolerances.
• Ability to measure in Standard and Metric systems using calipers, micrometers, tapes, or pull-testers.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written; maintain paperwork and records.
• Ability to complete and maintain records of higher-level evaluation and performance.
• Create new documentation to facilitate inspection processes and product understanding.
• Use quality tools such as 5-Why Analyses and Fishbone Diagrams.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to learn statistical software such as Minitab or QI Macros.

Responsabilités

• Inspect incoming materials to ensure conformance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records: inspection sheets, failure logs, testing reports, COFC and datasheets.
• Review and interpret manufacturer certificates of conformance and datasheets.
• Identify and document material characteristics and discrepancies.
• Support higher-level evaluation and performance analysis.
• Create documentation to improve inspection processes and understanding.
