Incoming Quality Inspection Sorter

The individual in this role will be focused on the initial processing of incoming materials involving unpacking, sorting, and labeling and will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of incoming shipments, ensuring materials are processed, identified, and prepared for storage or further processing. They will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and contributing to the overall efficiency of the receiving process.

Responsibilities:

• Open packages and remove contents, handling items carefully.


• Sort materials based on type, size, lot, date code or other predetermined criteria.


• Identify and set aside damaged or incorrect items.


• Attach identifying labels, tags, or markings to items according to company procedures.


• Ensure all necessary information, such as part numbers, quantities, or destinations, is clearly indicated.


• Document any discrepancies or damages and report them to the appropriate personnel.


• Prepare materials for transfer to other departments or storage locations.


• Keep the area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols.


• Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly.


• Work effectively with colleagues in warehousing, inventory, and other relevant departments.


• Operate pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed, adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications:
