Responsibilities:

• Grade and sort incoming metal products based on appearance and quality.
• Perform general yard cleanup and maintenance functions.
• Adhere to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
• Assist with yard maintenance, scrap sorting, equipment greasing, and repairs.
• Report equipment issues to supervisors.

Requirements:

• Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Basic English speaking and understanding skills.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.
• Experience in a scrap yard is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive an automobile.

Applicants must be able to perform physical tasks including walking on uneven ground, handling materials, crouching, bending, reaching, climbing, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

All U.S. applicants must be 18 or older; Canadian applicants 16 or older.
