Job summary

Krpton Solutions is seeking an Incoming Mechanical Inspector in Plano, TX to verify incoming parts against drawings, PO requirements, and customer specs before production. You will perform dimensional checks with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, conduct visual inspections of finishes and processes, and verify CoCs, FAI reports, and packing lists.

You will identify nonconforming material, log MRB actions, and support CAPA while recording results in ERP/QMS.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required or training.
2+ years in mechanical inspection in aerospace/medical manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs.
IPC certification preferred; familiarity with CoC/FAI and packing lists beneficial.
Proficient with measurement tools and quality record keeping.

Responsibilities

Dimensional inspection of machined, raw, and fabricated parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Perform visual inspections for finishes and processes per requirements.
Verify documentation such as drawings, CoCs, FAI reports, and packing lists.
Identify nonconforming material; tag/separate; update MRB log; support CAPA.
Record pass/fail results and traceability in ERP/QMS; maintain quality records.
Inspect material per IPC-A-610 Class 2/3 and J-STD-001, Space, Class 2/3.
Ensure timely inspection while following required procedures.
Potentially perform magnification-based inspections and first article checks.
Other duties may be assigned.
