Comal Independent School District seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to design and implement learning activities aligned with IEP goals for students with diverse needs. You will collaborate with ARD team, modify curricula, and support students in self-contained or inclusive settings using varied instructional approaches.

The role requires a Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements, a Bachelor's degree, and ESL certification within one year.

Formación

• Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area.
• Familiar with ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting/implementation.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEP through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional/therapeutic programs and document preparation.
• Plan and use diverse instructional strategies and materials.
• Modify curricula as needed and support students in regular classes.
• Participate in ARD meetings regularly.
• Assess learning styles and plan instructional activities.
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines.
• Use varied media to meet needs of each student.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Incorporate technology in teaching/learning.
