Qualifications

• Hold a 2-year Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university and complete an approved Substitute Training Program.
• Be enrolled in an Educator Preparation Program, be at least 20 years of age, and have completed 15 hours of classroom observation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for paraprofessional roles.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibilities of the classroom teacher or paraprofessional.
• Assist in the classroom in large and small groups with varied activities.
• Carry out instructional programs and lessons.
• Supervise and assist students in various areas and during transportation.
