Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities by assisting in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Coordinate special education services.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to ensure compliance with federal and state laws for educating students with disabilities.
• Provide classroom accommodations for students.
• Document student progress accurately.
• Serve on IEP and IAT teams.
• Maintain accurate student records.
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized education programs for students with disabilities.
• Work with regular education teachers, parents, and community agencies to support students in an inclusive setting.
• Assist in the overall coordination of special education programs and ensure services are delivered effectively.
• Ensure adherence to federal and state laws for educating students with disabilities and prepare required reports.
• Administer and document data for individual student IEPs.
• Provide consultation to general education teachers on modifications and adaptations for special education students.
