Job summary

South Middlesex Regional Vocational Technical School District is seeking a full-time Special Education teacher to deliver targeted educational interventions aligned with students' IEPs and to support progress toward academic, life skills, behavioral, social and emotional goals.

You will collaborate with teachers and school personnel, adapt curriculum for accessibility, and support inclusion in high school Math, Biology, Chemistry and Physics; a Bachelor’s Degree and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization abilities.
• Experience with special needs learners preferred.
• Experience in inclusion settings preferred.
• Ability to support high school Math, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers targeted educational interventions aligned with students' IEPs to support progress toward academic, life skills, behavioral, social and emotional goals.
• Supports students with disabilities in accessing and engaging with the general education curriculum.
• Communicates and collaborates with students, teachers, and school personnel to monitor student progress and ensure consistent implementation of the IEP.
• Assists in modifying curriculum to meet diverse learner needs.
• Adapts classroom materials and instructional activities for accessibility.
• Collaborates on lesson planning to support inclusive instruction.
