IDEAL School of Manhattan in New York, NY seeks a Physical Education & Health Teacher for a full-time, exempt role beginning August 2026. The teacher will lead K-12 wellness classes in an inclusive setting, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promoting lifelong fitness.

Responsibilities include planning engaging curricula, collaborating with staff, and communicating student progress to families and administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health, Kinesiology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated Physical Education (K-12) and Health curriculum.
• Facilitate an age-appropriate, inclusive Health curriculum.
• Modify activities and materials for accessibility.
• Maintain safe, encouraging learning environments.
• Collaborate with PE colleagues, coaches, therapists, and teachers.
• Support student mastery of goals.
• Communicate program needs to leadership.
• Confer with parents/guardians and staff to meet fitness goals.
