Job summary

Northbrook School District 27 is seeking multiple motivated, energetic, and student-centered instructional assistants to work with students with disabilities in classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year. Positions are at Hickory Point School (PK-2), Shabonee School (3-5), and Wood Oaks Junior High (6-8).

IAs join multidisciplinary teams with special educators, supporting students in general education settings. The role may include supervision before, during, and after school for extra pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Teaching or substitute license preferred.
• Experience supporting students with disabilities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in general education settings.
• Collaborate with a team of special educators in multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in before-, during-, and after-school supervision where applicable.
