Job summary

American University is seeking a graduate student to serve as the SIS Dean’s Advisory Council on Inclusive Excellence’s Program Assistant. The role reports to the Director of IE Initiatives and supports scheduling, communications, data collection and web support for the Council.

The Assistant will write content for the SIS IE website, highlight alumni in the Voices Series, and help advance IE initiatives with research, evaluation, and collaboration with SIS leaders, students, and external

Qualifications

• Current SIS Graduate Student for the role.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong writing and editing abilities for web content.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team.
• Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collect information and progress on inclusive excellence initiatives within SIS.
• Share information across the school.
• Write content for the SIS IE website, including the Voices Series.
• Support development of IE initiatives through research, communications and reporting.
