Job summary

Vadis in Olympia, Washington is seeking an Employment Consultant who can help individuals with disabilities find meaningful employment and connect them with community partners, schools, and employers. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to equity and opportunity.

Daily tasks include intake, client assessments, facilitating person-centered planning, arranging job starts, on-site training, and building relationships with the business community to secure opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability and desire to work respectfully with people with disabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support clients in finding employment.
• Facilitate intake, referrals, and skill/vocational assessments.
• Conduct person-centered planning to meet employment goals.
• Help clients build work readiness and self-advocacy through coaching and work experiences.
• Develop relationships with local employers to create job opportunities.
• Provide on-site training and guidance to clients and supervisors.
