Job summary

Vadis seeks an Employment Consultant to help individuals with disabilities find meaningful work across East King County from a Tukwila home office. You will collaborate with community partners, schools, and employers to expand opportunities and support clients daily.

The role emphasizes person-centered planning, job coaching, and building relationships with local businesses. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm, with flexibility for evenings or weekends as needed; this is a full-time role

• Personal use of a vehicle with proper insurance coverage for variable client hours.

Skills

Each day varies as you put your advocacy skills to use as an Employment Consultant. Throughout your week, you will positively impact the lives of our clients with your:

• Excellent customer service and communications with clients, families, employers, educators, funders, and the community
• Facilitation of referral meetings and intake of clients, including explanation of services and skill/vocational assessment
• Facilitation of person-centered planning to assist clients in meeting their overall employment goals.
• Assistance of clients in building work readiness, social, and self-advocacy skills through work experiences, individual coaching, and community activities.
• Development of relationships with the business community to secure jobs for people with disabilities.
• Facilitation of client job starts and providing of on-site training and guidance to both the client and their supervisors/coworkers.

Pay and Benefits

• This is a full-time position.
• Full salary range for this position is $26.50 - 31.25 per hour (allows for professional growth over time)
• Medical insurance at low premium cost to employees (dependent coverage available at employee cost)

• Business mileage reimbursement is currently .66/mile

Hours of work typically run Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm. However, it is important that our employees understand the importance of supporting our clients during the hours that they work. This requires flexibility for evening and/or weekend assignments as needed, based on client caseload.

This home office is in Tukwila, however, most client supports happen across East King County (Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah and Bellevue)
