Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is seeking a Special Education ESP paraprofessional to support students with IEPs at the school site, under direction of certified staff. Responsibilities include instructional support, behavior management, health support, data collection, and reporting progress to teachers.

Ideal candidates will have 60 college credits or a two-year degree, or a completed Paraeducator Assessments, with experience with elementary students and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: 60 college credits and/or a two-year degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide paraprofessional support under certified staff for students with IEP goals.
• Assist with instructional tasks, behavior management, health support, and data collection.
• Support students in various settings including meal times, recess, and field trips.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate progress to teachers and related staff.
• Build strong relationships with students from diverse backgrounds and neuro-types.
