Job summary

Ithaca City School District is seeking an Extracurricular Dance Coach Supervisor to design inclusive dance experiences for middle school students, fostering creativity, belonging, and wellness.

You'll collaborate with families, staff, teaching artists, and community partners to expand access to dance education, ensure equitable participation, and coordinate performances and events in Athletics, Fine & Performing Arts settings. This is a part-time role with a paid stipend.

• Experience working with middle school-aged youth.
• Passion for youth development and arts/athletic expression.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate dance experiences for a diverse population of middle school students.
• Develop opportunities for students to explore movement, creativity, self-expression, and performance.
• Create accessible pathways for participation for all skill levels and backgrounds.
• Encourage involvement from students who may not traditional participate in athletics, music, or performing arts.
• Foster belonging, confidence, leadership, and collaboration through dance experiences.
