Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with instruction and classroom activities.
• Assist students with disabilities under supervision of special education/general education teachers.
• Track student progress through data collection.
• Work with computers and other adaptive AT equipment to aid learning.
• Supervise students in various group sizes.
• Assist in providing accommodations and adaptations.
• Help students develop self-management skills.
• Support classroom management and positive behavior plans.
• Partner with the teacher to monitor the classroom and minimize disruptions.
• Assist students in loading/unloading safely from buses and in drop-off/pick-up zones.
• Participate in professional development to acquire needed skills.
• Promote student-centered, safe, and supportive learning environments.
• Maintain ethical behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned by district supervisor.
