Job summary

Berkeley School District 87 is seeking a Teacher Aide for Special Education Inclusion at MacArthur Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires a High School Diploma and Paraprofessional Certification, with a preference for 30 college credits. Reports to building administrators and follows district policies.

Full-time with full benefits and 176 work days per year. The aide will support the classroom teacher, assist with assessments, encourage reading, and supervise students

Qualifications

High School Diploma and Paraprofessional Certification are required.
Preference for thirty (30) college credits. Ability to support instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lessons and activities.
Administer and record tests and scores for individual students.
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce concepts.
Prepare and organize instructional materials and supplies.
Supervise students during lunch, recess, and field trips as needed.
Provide support for reading aloud, storytelling, and large-group activities.
Maintain confidentiality and professional communication with parents and staff.
