Job summary

Harford County Public Schools seeks an Inclusion Helper for Prospect Mill Elementary School to support students with severe disabilities and assist in instructional activities. You will help modify tasks, reinforce learning, and monitor behavior to foster independence in inclusive settings.

The position is full-time for ten months with a starting salary of $24,705 and a maximum of $36,878. HCPS offers an expansive benefits package and a comprehensive retirement plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
• Able to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provides support to students during instruction; provides modifications and accommodations.
• Facilitates student independence in the least restrictive environment.
• Provides assistance with assignments and reinforces activities.
• Monitors student behavior and implements behavioral strategies and intervention plans.
• Assists with personal care needs including lifting and transferring students.
• Prepares instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Charts data on student progress.
