Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education.
• Must hold (or be eligible for) MSDE Professional Certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with students moderately to severely involved; ASD highly preferred.
• Proficiency in educational technology and AAC for diverse needs.
• Knowledge of formal/informal assessments and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data-driven instructional plans tailored to individual needs across content areas.
• Lead development and implementation of IEPs using Maryland Online IEP system with IDEA compliance.
• Utilize behavioral techniques to foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Coordinate regular IEP team meetings with parents and service providers to monitor progress.
• Plan Community-Based Instruction to prepare students for transition.
• Direct and mentor paraeducators and instructional assistants.
