Job summary

Elmhurst Park District is seeking a full-time Inclusion Services Supervisor to lead staff, manage accommodations, and ensure inclusive programs for participants. The role requires a background in Parks and Recreation and CREST certification, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities include payroll/volunteer processing, budgeting, staff training, and collaboration with guardians and program staff to deliver safe, accessible recreation experiences for the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years programming experience and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification is required.
• Valid Illinois driver's license is required.
• Knowledge of theory and philosophy of recreation and program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff.
• Submit payroll and volunteer information on time.
• Prepare and monitor budgets and financial paperwork.
• Conduct participant intakes and develop accommodation plans.
• Secure staff support and necessary tools based on needs.
• Communicate with participants, guardians and staff for inclusion success.
• Maintain records of reports, plans and assessments.
• Develop and deliver training on inclusion, ADA, and behavior management.
