This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position supporting students in an inclusion setting under the guidance of a classroom teacher. The role includes assisting with small and large groups, implementing IEP-based accommodations, monitoring progress, and preparing instructional materials.

Responsibilities

• Supports students during small and large groups times to engage in educational and social interactions.
• Leads the class and/or small groups in activities.
• Provides direct support to individuals and small groups of students based on Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education liaison, modifies and adapts instruction according to a student’s IEP.
• Monitors student progress, records performance data, and communicates such to the classroom teacher.
• Assist students in completing activities of daily living.
• Prepares instruction materials according to teacher guidelines.
• Promotes appropriate social interaction and behavioral compliance for students, including implementing behavior plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
