Job summary
SPLENDORA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Special Education Inclusion Paraprofessional to assist the teacher with classroom activities and administrative tasks under supervision. The role focuses on supporting students with disabilities, maintaining behavior plans, and helping with instructional exercises in a 10-month schedule.
The position requires a High school diploma or GED, a Texas teaching aide certificate after hire, and preferred experience with children.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or 2 years of college credit or academic assessment on hire.
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate obtained after hire.
- Experience working with children preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher with instructional activities and small-group or individual work as directed by the teacher.
- Uphold school rules and district policies.
- Reinforce behavior plans and assist in classroom management as per ARD.
- Assist with administering and scoring tests and assignments.
- Supervise students inside and outside the classroom.
- Prepare, modify, or adapt teaching materials for individual needs.
