Job summary

JCC Greater Boston is seeking an Inclusion Coordinator for our summer camp to ensure every camper is safe, supported, and fully included. You will supervise Advocate Camp Counselors, tailor ICPs, and collaborate with families and staff.

This 8-week, 8:30am–4:30pm schedule runs June 21–August 20. The role offers hands-on leadership, inclusive practices, and meaningful opportunities to help children participate in bunk life, swimming, arts, and activities.

Qualifications

• Able to model patience, empathy, and creativity with campers with diverse needs.
• Strong communication with staff and families to ensure consistency of support.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and safety for all campers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with counselors and leadership to create inclusive group dynamics and implement camper ICP accommodations.
• Support Advocate Counselors in promoting camper strengths, needs, and independence.
• Assist campers in engaging with bunk life and activities (arts, sports, swimming, events).
• Supervise campers to ensure safety during structured and unstructured times.
• Participate in swim times and support campers during activities.
• Maintain regular communication with counselors and leadership to ensure consistent support.
• Model positive behavior and patience for campers and peers.
