Job summary

Bradley County School District in Cleveland, Tennessee is seeking a full-time Special Education - General Education Liaison to bridge special and general education. The role focuses on collaboration, clear communication, and guiding effective IEP implementation to support inclusive practices for students with disabilities within the general education setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
Valid SPED teaching certification.
Minimum 3 years of teaching in SPED or inclusive settings.
Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and inclusive strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact between special education and general education teachers.
Facilitate regular collaboration meetings to support co‑teaching and instructional planning.
Provide ongoing consultation on accommodations, modifications, and behavior strategies.
Consult with case managers and attend IEP meetings to interpret IEPs for staff.
Monitor and provide feedback on student progress and compliance with IEP goals.
Offer or coordinate training for general education staff on disability awareness and legal responsibilities.
Collaborate with special education case managers to ensure accurate documentation.
